Processing Unit

The processing unit's body has been meticulously crafted from aluminum alloy in order to achieve the smallest possible size and shape, allowing for easy installation on any harness type. It is extremely resistant to pressure and heavy impacts as a result of this. It also gives waterproofing on the filter placed in the forehead between the cable passageways on its own.

On the upper side of the control unit is the m2 multi logo, and on the rear is an identity label containing production data.

Control Unit

The control unit has a stainless steel shell and a flexible cable that connects it to the processing unit. The control unit features a single control button and a display for showing icons. The control unit is well-protected against magnetic pull and potential electric shocks.

The control unit allows the device to be turned on and off, as well as complete device configuration:

  • Scale—meter/foot settings
  • Profiles—there are five main sorts of profiles (Stu, Int, Pro, Cpi, Tan)
  • Adjust—increases the activation altitude by 30 meters every 30 meters. A1 through A9
  • Offset—the temporary placement of a landing zone at a different height than the airplane's takeoff point (M2 Multi-device calibration). +/– 999m setting range
  • Info—it displays crucial information and statistics for individual jumps and to a specific device, and it accepts input from both on and off devices.

d)—opening altitude of the last jump

j)—total number of jumps

G)—percent view of trigger speed on a functional main canopy

b)—remaining battery capacity

L)—remaining days of the lifetime of the device

n)—serial number of device

r)—firmware version

Y)—year and month of production

P)—current barometric pressure

Cutting Unit—Cutter

In the event of activation, the cutter is made entirely of stainless steel and cuts the reserve parachute closure loop. This is the shortest "knife" configuration on the market, allowing for easy installation of any harness type without the risk of severe cable strain and bending. The "knife" design allows a completely dependable cut of the closing loop in all conditions and is extremely dirt resistant. The cutter was designed with a flat body to prevent unwanted movement and rotation among the harness flaps during and after packaging for use, based on years of experience. Each piece is meticulously inspected and handcrafted with great care. A flexible cable with a connector connects the cutter to the processing unit, allowing for easy replacement. The connector is fully inserted into the processing unit and secured against unwanted pulling using a fastening screw.

Filter

The m2 Multi is entirely watertight (2m/24hr), however it is required to replace the plastic filter after each soaking of the gadget in order for it to function properly. Each AAD m2 Multi package includes a replacement filter.

Service/Battery/Maintenance

One of the key user advantages of m2 Multi is that it can be checked and serviced by the user/rigger without having to ship it to the manufacturer. The device's design, which incorporates the most cutting-edge technology and sophisticated software, allows us to guarantee the device's life to the user for 15 years + 6 months without the need to replace the battery. The service interval is 12 months, during which time it is necessary to inspect the overall mechanical condition of all m2 Multi device components, display remaining battery capacity and lifetime, and test the functionality of the pressure sensor by displaying current barometric pressure and comparing it to that of other m2 Multi or an accurate device.

MarS produces a tactical (military) version of the m2. We would be pleased to send details, specifications, and prices on request.
